Consumers are seldom aware of the degree to which fashion damages the environment, but I’m confident that positive storytelling can go a long way in moving towards conscious shopping.

We all want to do better, but busy daily lives can get in the way. I wanted to see a company strive to fully explain what’s actually happening behind the scenes - in order to truly educate consumers and offer real sustainable products on a silver platter. That’s when I decided to leave my corporate job and pursue this mission full time.

Stephanie has been a business lawyer for over six years. She has also worked in the fashion industry as a model for more than a decade, on and off, from living in Milan to doing it part time in the past few years. This experience has led her to develop an understanding of the fashion playing field, and a sense that not enough was being done to counter the impact that fashion can have on the environment. Her legal background also motivated her to question the greenwashing issue which is omnipresent in the industry.

Completing an MBA from McGill with a Specialization in Retail, as well as a Certificate in Sustainable Fashion from Parsons, has allowed her to fully grasp the state of the fashion industry as it relates to commerce and the environment, and explore ways to do better.
