People all over the world love cashmere. It is a soft, natural, precious and organic fiber, which is also biodegradable. We felt like we could add an even more sustainable aspect to it.
We have partnered with a well-established manufacturer and a recycled cashmere mill, which have both been in the industry for a long time. We chose them because they are extremely conscious of their people in the supply chain, as well as the quality and durability of their yarn and products.

We have partnered with a well-established manufacturer and a recycled cashmere mill, which have both been in the industry for a long time. We chose them because they are extremely conscious of their people in the supply chain, as well as the quality and durability of their yarn and products.
Our winter cashmere accessories are made of eco cashmere, which is composed of 65% recycled cashmere and 35% virgin cashmere. We must admit: our objective was to go for 100% recycled cashmere. However, after multiple discussions and sample testings, our weaver demonstrated that mixing recycled cashmere with virgin cashmere would ensure greater quality and longevity for our products, which we consider to be better for the environment in the long term. The mill has found that the 65/35 ratio ensures great solidity.
Now, why is it that 100% recycled cashmere is less likely to last longer? Cashmere is a fragile fabric on its own. The process of recycling it makes the yarn subject to early pilling when weaved. Using 100% recycled cashmere can make a great fabric for sweaters or joggers which you would not use every day. However, when it comes down to winter accessories which you will often use, it is recommended to mix it with new cashmere to ensure the longevity and quality of your product and avoid early pilling of the fabric.
We have asked our partners, who we now consider to be our new friends, if we could document the process through which the products went to get to their final forms. They have agreed to welcome you all behind the scenes of their production, and we are extremely happy they did.
